Video Player Tips

Volume Control: the volume can be controlled by the slider on the player, but you may need to increase the volume on your computer as well. Videos are recorded at -6 db, which is loud, but if your speakers are small, or you have a lot of ambient noise, you may want to use headphones.

Double clicking: the video will enlarge it to fill your screen (although the picture quality will not be as good). Press the escape button on your keyboard to return to the smaller size.

Pause: This temporarily pauses the video where you are and allows you to resume play from this point. Pauses longer than a few minutes may result in the computer logging you out.

Stop: This stops the video and will return it to the beginning of the clip.

Close Player: This will stop the video and close the player. If you have not finished the CEU presentation, when you login again you will be asked if you want to resume watching the video (see above).

Rewind: This will allow you to go back within your current clip to view a specific area again.

Viewing the video:
Upon opening each clip, questions will temporarily appear to the right of the viewing screen. They will disappear as soon as you select the "Play" button. They will reappear at the end of the clip. You may answer them at the beginning or the end of the clip, but you can only submit them at the end of the clip. YOU WILL NEED TO ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS CORRECTLY in order to advance to the next clip. If one or both are incorrect, the player will return to the beginning of the clip and you will need to watch it again to have the opportunity to answer the questions again. You may want to take note of the questions and possible answers prior to starting the video!

If your internet service is interrupted or you have to stop viewing before you have completed watching all of the clips, you may close the player, log out, or close the web site. When you login the next time, you will receive a message asking if you would like to resume playing the CEU video. You must click "yes". If you click "No" you will be charged additional credits to view it again. You may stop it again, even immediately, if needed. There is no limit to the times you may start and stop the video. When you select "yes", you will be returned to the beginning of the clip you were viewing when you stopped previously. To clarify: If you log out several times from the same clip you will be returned to the beginning of that same clip until you watch it in its entirety and correctly answer the questions at the end of the clip.

Once you correctly answer the questions in each clip you will advance to the next clip. You will be unable to return to any completed clips. While viewing you may use the reverse button to rewind to an area within the current clip to re-watch an area of interest, but you are NOT ABLE to fast-forward again. As soon as you answer the final questions in the last clip, you will be sent an email confirming the number of Type 2 CEUs and the topic. Keep this for your records.
